Rapper Kodak Black released from jail on $100,000 bond

South Florida rapper charged with criminal sexual conduct in S.C.

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Pompano Beach rapper Kodak Black was released from jail Thursday after posting a $100,000 bond.

The Sun Sentinel reports the Atlantic Records artist, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was released in Florence County, South Carolina, where he was charged with criminal sexual conduct.

Octave posted on his Instagram account that he was happy to be going back home and looks forward to clearing his name. 

The 19-year-old is accused of sexual battery in South Carolina during an incident in February. 

In August, a Florida judge sentenced him to a year of house arrest and a five years of probation on unrelated drug charges. He was serving his sentence in Florida before being extradited to South Carolina.  

The Sun Sentinel reports that Octave's next court appearance is set for Feb. 8 in South Carolina.
