PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Everything was going just fine for a contestant on Tuesday night's episode of "Wheel of Fortune," that is, until he guessed the letter "K."
The puzzle was all but solved, except for one letter missing from "A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE."
What should have been an obvious "M" to fill in the blank was apparently anything but for Kevin, who clearly isn't familiar with the Tennessee Williams play "A Streetcar Named Desire."
Heck, he didn't even have to know the play. Had he not seen Marlon Brando's performance in the 1951 film version? "Hey, Stella!" anyone?
Instead, Kevin spun the wheel and asked for a "K."
Of course, that would spell "A STREETCAR NAKED DESIRE." Interesting choice.
The dreaded buzzer sounded, and host Pat Sajak was quick to shatter the contestant's dreams.
"No," Sajak said.
Then it was on to Lisa, who swept in and decisively asked for the letter "M."
Lisa walked away with $1,000, and the segment ended with Sajak turning what likely was an embarrassing moment into a comical one.
"And although you got the right answer, I'd rather see Kevin's play," Sajak told Lisa.
Viewers didn't let Kevin forget his flub, however, taking to Twitter to share the epic fail.
If Alex Trebek hosted Wheel of Fortune, he would have clowned this contestant until the credits rolled pic.twitter.com/6WYyZSW9NA

Nothing’s funnier to me than Wheel of Fortune fails. Unlike Jeopardy it’s literally spelled out for you https://t.co/e2rVTzsGTO
