David Cassidy hospitalized in critical condition

TMZ: Former Partridge Family star is in induced coma

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – David Cassidy was hospitalized in Florida and remained in critical condition Saturday, his publicist JoAnn Geffen said, according to Variety.

TMZ reported the Patridge Family star was suffering from kidney failure, needed a liver transplant and was in an induced coma.

Cassidy, 67, who was born in New York City, moved to Fort Lauderdale and struggled with alcoholism. The singer told People earlier this year that he was also dealing with arthritis and dementia.
