MIAMI — The grand opening of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Festival is from 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
Organizers said there is enough room for about 30,000 fans to enjoy watch parties at four massive screens at the park at 301 Biscayne Boulevard.
“Everyone is welcome, all ages ... they will be able to watch the games for free, while they are enjoying the music, the dancing, the food,” Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said on Wednesday.
For security, there will be metal detectors, and there is an “only clear bags” policy. Bags larger than 12 inches by 6 inches are not allowed.
Vaping and smoking are also banned. Chairs, blankets, tents, scooters, air horns, laser pointers, and inflatables are all included in the list of prohibited items.
Except for baby food, outside food and beverages are not allowed. Organizers included a long line of food and drink vendors. The festival will open every day until July 5.
The matches start on Thursday when the Group A matches are at 3 p.m., Mexico vs. South Africa, and at 11 p.m., South Korea vs. The Czech Republic.
On Friday, the Group B, Canada vs. Bosnia, match is at 3 p.m. and the Group D, U.S. vs. Paraguay, match is at 9 p.m.
