Ice cream, candy and music inspire artists and designers

MIAMI – After a tiring first Art Basel day at the Miami Beach Convention Center, there are of creative events to celebrate and shop on Friday.

Visitors of the interactive exhibit are allowed to taste, smell, touch and photograph the sweet and colorful pieces. Preview tickets are $98 from Dec. 6 to Dec. 11. General admission tickets for the rest of the month are $38. The museum will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Faena District, 3400 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach.

Basel House Mural Festival

SWARM event organizers plan to have 40 large scale mural projects across six city blocks, an interactive digital projection, a VR playground, a robot painting, a market place, about 30 food trucks, free music, cocktails and a Street Skool program. The festival is from Noon to 3 a.m., from Friday to Sunday at the RC Cola Plant, 550 NW 24th St., in Miami's Wynwood. Boom Basel

The Fader, a New York City-based music magazine, will be hosting a two-day event with Toyota. MadeinTYO, DJ Oreo and DJ Sober will perform Friday. Carl Carrell, better known as CRL CRRLL, DJ Noodles and KYLE will perform Saturday. There will be custom artwork by the No Kings Collective and Fatima Jafri. There will be food by Ms. Cheezious and Chrrurismo. The daytime event is from 2 to 6 p.m. and the nighttime party starts at 9 p.m. at MAPS Backlot, 342 NW 24 St., in Miami's Wynwood. Basel at the Yard

Afrobeta, Millionyoung, Eons, and DJ Lolo will be performing. There will be food and drinks for sale from 7 p.m. Friday, to 3 a.m. Saturday at the Wynwood Yard, 56 NW 29 St., in Miami's Wynwood. Admission is free. For more information, visit their Eventbrite page.

Re-energize at HIVE

HIVE is a four-day cocktails and culinary village. There will be a circular mixology bar by Bitter Truth and experiences by Deep Eddy Vodka, Jack Daniels, Red Bull, Red Stripe, Chivas, Coppers's Craft, Revolucion Tequila and Jagermeister. The food hall includes PINCH, Casa Blanca, China Box, Tacos and Tattoos and Latin House. Admission is free. The event is from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., Friday at at 2250 NW 2 Ave., in Miami's Wynwood. 

Art and fashion pop-up store

German fashion designer Philipp Plein and artist Alec Andon, better known as Alec Monopoly, will open their pop-up store from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday at the Fontainebleau Hotel, 4441 Collins Ave., in Miami Beach. 

Thee Freehand Miami

Candyland at Chrome Hearts

'Visually arresting book' discussion

Artsy and New York's Lehmann Maupin Gallery host a conversation celebrating "Teresita Fernández: Wayfinding," a book by Denise Markonish, curator at MASS MoCA in Massachusetts, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Miami Beach Edition, 2901 Collins Ave., in South Beach. 

Hublot Loves Art

Ode to fashion photography

Shopping for a cause

Actress Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah, co-founder of Studio One Eighty Nine, an Africa-centered social enterprise, open their pop-up shop from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Surf Lodge at the W South Beach.

DJ Sevigny at Nautilus

Hotelier Jason Pomeranc and New York City's Half Gallery host a party with DJ Paul Sevigny from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Nautilus South Beach, 1825 Collins Ave., in Miami Beach. 

OAK and Rockwell partner for party 

1-O.A.K., which has nightclubs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Manhattan, will be partnering with Rockwell Miami for parties Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 43 Washington Ave., in Miami Beach.

In Reel Life

Fake Fulfillment Center

Pop artist Shawn Kolodny's  5000-square-foot kaleidoscope-patterned rooms will be on exhibit from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday at the Boulan South Beach Hotel, 2000 Collins Ave., in Miami Beach. 

Chance Encounters III

Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Loewe, curated an exhibit featuring the works of photographer Lionel Wendt, ceramicist Sara Flynn and sculptor Richard Smith. The store opens from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 110 NE 39 St. 

Apex Predator store 

Ukrainian artist Mariana Fantich and British artist Dominic Young have a pop-up storefront showcasing their Apex Predator: Darwinian Voodoo collection of designer items adorned with human eyes, teeth, hair and bones.  The store is at 221 NW 23 St., in Miami's Wynwood.

New Spring installation

COS, a modern clothing line, and Studio Swine, a collaboration between Japanese architect Azusa Murakami and British artist Alexander Groves, present New Spring, a public art installation at 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Temple House, 1415 Euclid Ave., in South Beach.
