Seraphic Fire's 'Christmas: On Winter's Night' begins

Christmas carol series runs Dec. 6-18 in South Florida

MIAMI – Christmas carols produced with panache will echo throughout St. Mark's Episcopal's Church in Palm Beach Gardens on Tuesday night.

The vocal ensemble Seraphic Fire will perform "Christmas: On Winter's Night"  with the polished precision that their following has come to expect. Rhett Del Campo, Seraphic Fire's managing director, said 2016-2017 marks their 15th anniversary season.

The highlight this Christmas season is the premiere of carol settings by composer Susan LaBarr.

Associate conductor James K. Bass will lead the programs to be held in Naples, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and in Miami-Dade -- Miami's The Roads, Miami Beach, Coral Gables and Cutler Bay.

Tickets range from $30 to $60 and there are venue subscriptions ranging from $132 to $255. Next week's concerts are free for anyone under the age of 30 upon request at 305-285-9060 and with photo identification at will call. The program has the support of both the Meredyth Anne Dasburg Foundation and the John S. James L. Knight Foundation.
