Brickell gets a new music and restaurant venue: Riverside Miami

A new music, event space and food service spot, offering barbecue and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Riverside Miami, the new addition is located at 25 S.E. Fifth St. in Brickell.

Riverside Miami features seven restaurants including a steakhouse, a tap room with large screen TVs and family friendly special events, according to the business's website. Currently, Portuguese seafood spot Old Lisbon and a barbecue joint are open for business, but the venue is also expected to also offer Asian eats, tacos, gelato and more. 

With a three-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival is still finding its footing.

Celia M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 7, wrote, "Long bar line, but it has delicious skewers. Great happy hour specials,  music, games and great views. Dog-friendly too!"

Yelper Julia D. wrote, "I did try the picanha skewer and one skewer was $10. Kinda a steep price for one single skewer but the picanha was top quality."
