HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — There’s always something adventurous happening on weekends at beautiful Hollywood Beach.
So get ready for the Savor SoFlo and Wine Festival, returning for its sixth year.
It brings a vibrant culinary experience to the beach, taking over 30,000 square feet of tented space right on the sand.
The festival highlights local chefs and restaurants such as Margaritaville, which will compete in the festival’s culinary showdown.
“We’re winning. We’re Margaritaville. We’re always winning,” executive chef Kedon Carter told Local 10’s Alexis Frazier.
There will be wine, craft beers and premium spirits to wash down the food.
“For Margaritaville, it’s those laid-back tropical vibes, and it ties in well with all the food, wine and tropical dishes that will be featured from local restaurants here in Hollywood,” Margaritaville Marketing Director Cara Mia Gatti said.
Proceeds from Savor SoFlo will benefit Glam-A-Thon and Gilda’s Club South Florida, which support breast cancer patients with mental health and wellness resources.
“Our goal has been to educate and teach people how to love food and view it as an art form. When you grow to appreciate that, you see food in a completely different way,” Savor President and Producer Tammy Gail said.
The event is Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., and tickets can be purchased on-site or in advance.
