CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Hundreds of local dogs took a dip with a purpose over the weekend.

Organizers told Local 10 News that Guinness has confirmed they set a record Saturday at Chewy Bark Park in Coral Gables with 277 dogs at the world’s largest dog pool party.

Chewy hosted the party as breeds of all shapes and sizes shared the kiddie pools, as well as some cool treats -- all in an effort to secure their spot in the record books.

“We wanted to go big, we wanted to make it fun, splashy and we brought in Guinness World Records,” one organizer said. “They’re here today onsite and they’re counting every dog that is here towards our record.”
