Tijuana Flats in Coral Springs, Iron Sushi in Dadeland, La Jato Restaurant in Hialeah, and Los Catrachos in Miami were all ordered shut after inspections uncovered issues ranging from roach activity and flies to mold, temperature violations and unsanitary food handling practices.
Inspection records show Iron Sushi had multiple extended closure periods since July 2025, in which the restaurant was shut down and kept closed through repeated failed re-inspections before being allowed to reopen.
Before that, the restaurant logged nine routine inspections marked “follow-up required” dating back to 2023, pointing to a history of ongoing issues.
All the places mentioned were allowed to re-open following an ordered cleanup and re-inspection.
