DETROIT – Facebook is upgrading the "Like" button.
"Facebook Reactions" will be rolled out globally in the next few weeks, according to a Bloomberg report.
The alternative comes in the form of six emoji that equal the following sentiments: sad, angry, wow, haha, yay and love.
The report details Facebook's effort, working closely with experts to select images that express certain emotion, in addition to offering reactions that fit more appropriately in certain situations.
Many users have asked for a dislike button, but Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously stated his concern about spreading negativity.
