1 dead in triple-shooting at Miami gas station

2 others taken to Ryder Trauma Center after shooting at Valero gas station

MIAMI – One man is dead after a triple-shooting that police say happened early Saturday morning at a Miami gas station.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. Saturday at the Valero gas station on Northwest 22nd Avenue.

It was a moment frozen in time for the loved ones of three men (pictured, above) who pulled into the gas station to buy gas and cigars.

"Black and Mild, and $4 in gas," the gas station's clerk said.

The three ran into another customer as they waited to pay at the overnight window. Then, in the blink of an eye and caught on surveillance cameras from different angles, the man in the white tank-top and blue baseball cap would pay the ultimate price, with his life.

Police said the shooting victim died at the scene.

Local 10's Baron James reports one of the victims who survived was shot in the chest. The other surviving victim was shot in the foot.

Two others were taken to Ryder Trauma Center. Their conditions were not given. The clerk was not injured.

"I think it's senseless because it's like you can't go no where without being having fun, and then you end up shot and killed," said Sabrina Johnson. "It's sad, it's sad, because it's in the black community. It's real sad, very sad."

Three suspects were believed to be involved in Saturday morning's shootout. Their getaway vehicle was dark in color.
