NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Hundreds of people are expected to participate in the 16th Annual Tour De Force. The event is held every year to raise money for the families of fallen officers.

The police charity bicycle ride is a 5-day ride that passes through 42 law enforcement jurisdictions. It begins in North Miami Beach and ends in Daytona Beach Shores on April 18th.

The tour is a supported ride with police escorts. Last year, more than 800 law enforcement personnel from across the state participated with more than 30 riders completing the entire 270-mile trek to Daytona Beach Shores.

The event's sponsor, DENNYS, is helping organizers raise $100,000.
