DAVIE, Fla. - Two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with a home burglary, and police said they confessed to several similar crimes.

Davie police were called to a home in the 11100 block of Harmony Lakes Circle after a home was burglarized.

Officers stopped a black Saturn matching the description of a vehicle a witness spotted leaving the home. When officers spoke to the driver, Sergio Caicedo, 20, who Davie police said confessed to breaking into a home on Harmony Lakes Circle with another man, who had escaped. Police officers later found the other suspect, Roy Mortensen, 25.

The alleged victims identified items in Caicedo's car as theirs, Davie police said.

Police said Caicedo and Mortensen admitted to the burglary, as well as several similar crimes in the past two months, and said that most of the stolen property was at Caicedo's home. Investigators searched the home and found several stolen items in Caicdeo's bedroom, officials said.

Caicedo and Mortensen were arrested on charges of residential burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief in the July 4 crime.
