2 bodies found in rural Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade police investigate deaths

MIAMI - The bodies of two people were found Monday in a rural area in northwestern Miami-Dade County.

The bodies were found about 100 yards apart on either side of Northwest 25th Street near 133rd Avenue, in an area west of Florida's Turnpike and the Dolphin Mall and north of Tamiami Trail.

Police said the two bodies were found as officers searched the area Monday in connection with a missing person's investigation.

The families of two teens reported missing on Sunday said officers were looking for those teens.

"This is a co-worker that's suffering and is in a lot of pain. She's a mother, so please give her her chance," said Maria Fernandez, a friend of the family whose teens are missing.

Police will not say whether they believe the bodies are those of the missing teens.

Investigators have not released any information about the deceased people, including their ages or whether they are male or female.

The cause of death has not yet been determined but the cases are being treated as homicides.
