FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Two Broward sheriff's deputies were injured Sunday while escorting Hillary Clinton’s motorcade ahead of a rally in Wilton Manors, authorities said.

A representative from the Broward Sheriff’s Office said the deputies were taken to Broward Health Medical Center after the crash in the 1300 block of West Broward Boulevard.

Fort Lauderdale police are investigating the incident.

The crash comes days after a Pinecrest police officer crashed his motorcycle while escorting the Democratic presidential nominee’s motorcade on the Palmetto Expressway.

Officer Maikel Rodriguez suffered broken bones and road rash Tuesday and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

The identities and conditions of the two deputies involved in Sunday's crash have not been released.
