MIAMI - Miami-Dade Police arrested two women in connection with a real estate scam.

Odalis Freixa and her sister Marisela Gamez turned themselves into police on Friday. Both are charged with grand theft and organized fraud.

According to investigators, Freixa stole money from unsuspecting victims, many who were friends, and defrauded them for more than a million dollars over seven years.

Police said Gamez provided false contracts and lied to victims about their position in loan modification processes and foreclosure properties.

The pair used several companies in their scheme, including "FL Home Holdings LLC, FL Home Loans LLC, FL Home Realty Services, LLC" and a not for profit corporation, "The H.E.R.O. Foundation, Inc," said police.

Anyone who may have fallen victim to this scheme is asked to call the Miami- Dade Police Department's Economic Crimes Bureau at 305-994-1000.
