2 horses killed, 3 people hurt in crash in northwest Miami Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two horses were killed and three people were injured Saturday after a crash in northwest Miami Dade County, officials said.

Lt. Felipe Lay, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, said the crash happened just after 6 p.m. in the 16000 block of Northwest 122nd Avenue.

Lay said a horseback rider was airlifted to Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines. Lay did not disclose the victim's condition.

Two other people were also hurt.

No other details were given.
