2 hurt after car crashes into Alvin's Island in Miami Beach

Driver says she lost control after another car cut her off

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Two people were injured after a car crashed into a souvenir shop on South Beach.

The crash occurred about 7 a.m. Monday at an Alvin's Island at the intersection of Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road.

Miami Beach police said a woman told them she lost control of her Toyota Scion after another car cut her off.

Police said two people walking on the sidewalk were struck.

Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. One was listed in stable condition and the other was listed in critical condition.

The driver wasn't hurt.
