A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue diver helped two men after their boat capsized a few miles from Crandon Park Marina.

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - Two men were rescued Monday morning after their boat capsized off the coast of Key Biscayne.

The men were a few miles from Crandon Park Marina about 10:30 a.m. when their 21-foot boat's engine stalled, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez said.

A strong current caused the boat to overturn, sending the men into the water.

A diver jumped into the water and helped the men onto a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue boat. Benitez said one of the men was struggling to swim to safety.

Both men were checked by paramedics before being taken back to the marina.

The boat was towed to shore.
