2 women killed in crash near I-95 in northwest Miami-Dade

Driver who caused crash taken to hospital, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two women were killed early Thursday in a crash in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

Sky 10 was above the scene on Northwest 95th Street near Interstate 95 shortly after 6 a.m. and saw a tarp covering part of the women's vehicle.

Miami-Dade police said a driver lost control of his white Ford Econoline van as he was exiting I-95 at Northwest 95th Street and T-boned a gray Toyota RAV4.

Police said the two women, who were the only people in the SUV, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their identities have not been released. 

The other driver, identified as Alejandro Jaramillo, 29, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he is listed in stable condition. 

It's unclear whether Jaramillo will face charges.
