Man killed over 5 dollars
Police: Victim Expected Change From Shooter In Drug Deal
LAUDERDALE LAKE, Fla – A Lauderdale Lakes man was shot and killed Saturday over $5 in change during a drug deal gone bad, said Broward Sheriff's Office deputies.
Homicide detectives said Jaquin Ham, 28, was delivering marijuana to Michael Smith, 26. Smith apparently paid for the drugs, but expected to receive change. An argument followed and at some point, Ham took out a firearm and shot Smith, said deputies.
Deputies arrested Ham. He is charged with second-degree murder. Ham is being held without bond.
