Arrest made in Miami Gardens shooting

Police say one man taken into custody

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Gardens police made an arrest in a shooting at a park that injured four people, including an 11-year-old boy.

Tyrone Vincent Bivins, 20, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder and taken to Miami-Dade County jail.

Police said Saturday the arrest was due in part to the cooperation of residents in the area.

Detectives are still asking for the public's help to find the vehicle involved.

It is a newer model, dark-colored Chevy Impala with tinted windows and black rims.

The men who were shot were playing basketball at the time. Nearby, youth football and cheerleading practices were ongoing.

The victims, including the 11-year-old boy, are expected to make a full recovery.
