U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio sits down with Michael Putney

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The approval rating for Congress is at an all-time low. The American people just don't like what they see in Washington.

But many republicans like what they see in Marco Rubio, a bright, conservative, articulate young senator who might be able to help the GOP carry Florida and beyond, because he is as fluent in Spanish as he is in English.

The GOP presidential candidates continue to look at Rubio as a possible running mate, even as the front-runner continues to change.

Local 10 senior political reporter Michael Putney asked Rubio about it when they spoke this week.
