MIAMI – Jackson Memorial Hospital issued a statement regarding NFL wide receiver Donte Stallworth and his girlfriend, who suffered burns during a hot-air balloon accident Saturday.
Stallworth and Soleil Guerrero are in stable condition after receiving second-degree burns in the accident.

Both are being treated at the burn center in Jackson Memorial Hospital.
"As they are dealing with the effects of their injuries, the couple would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the compassionate care they are receiving as they are focusing on making a full recovery," read the statement.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
Stallworth played in one game last season for the New England Patriots, then went on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He has 35 career touchdown catches.
Stallworth was suspended for the 2009 season after a car he was driving hit and killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes with his Bentley on the MacArthur Causeway on March 14. He spent 24 days in jail for a DUI manslaughter conviction.
