FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol arrested a 54-year-old Miami man accused of stealing copper wire from street lights.
Troopers arrested Lee Howard Monday on the northbound Interstate 95 exit ramp to Stirling Road.

FHP reported seeing Howard sitting at the base of a light pole with wire in his hands and a pair of wire cutters on the ground in front of him. The door of the light pole had been pried open.
Troopers also arrested Byron Bowers on an outstanding warrant for theft of copper wire.
