Heat fans watch Game 7 while sailing through Mediterranean Sea

Passengers started watching the game at 3 a.m. Italian time

ITALY – Most people who watched the Miami Heat win the 2013 NBA Championship had to stay up late, but it was an early morning for fans aboard one Carnival cruise ship.

About 50 Miami Heat fans watched the game together aboard the Carnival Sunshine early Friday morning, as they sailed across the Mediterranean Sea. The game was shown on an outdoor screen on the newly refurbished ship's Lido Deck.

The game started at 3 a.m. Italian time, but excited fans still came out to watch.

The Carnival Sunshine was the Carnival Destiny until it underwent a $155 million refurbishment that added staterooms and features so radical that the Miami-based Carnival renamed the ship.
