SANFORD, Fla. – Dozens of protesters spent their Saturday in front of the Seminole County Criminal Justice building.
Seminole County deputies surrounded the protesters. Some were singing: Justice for Trayvon. Others treated the area authorities are referring to as the "freedom of speech" as a picnic area.
"We are here to show our support to Trayvon Martin's family," Christina King, 44, said. "That was an innocent kid who just wanted to go home. Zimmerman shouldn't have killed him."
The crowd included two alleged members of the black Panthers and about six self-proclaimed Communist revolutionaries. Some families brought their children and grandchildren to play. There were two women on stilts.
