Killer sought in double murder

Annette Anderson, Tyrone Walker Jr found dead inside Miami Gardens home

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police continue to look for whoever executed a 70-year-old woman and her 20-year-old grandson inside her Miami Gardens home.

Police found the bodies of Annette Anderson and Tyrone Walker, Jr. inside a home at Northwest 207th Street and 34th Court on Tuesday morning. The same place where a memorial began to grown Wednesday night.

"We can't make heads or tails of it. She had no enemies. None. I didn't know anybody who had ill feelings towards my mother," said Carolyn Walker, Anderson's daughter. "My mother was good. She was kind. She would do anything for anybody."

"This kid wouldn't hurt no one -- no one," said Tyrone Walker, Sr. "He wouldn't allow you to hurt any of his friends and he wouldn't hurt anybody. I still can't understand why this tragedy happened to him."

Police found them gagged, bound, and shot several times.

"I'm still having chill bumps so I drove around here right away," said neighbor Rosetta Rolle Hylton-Anderson. "She was a Christian woman. A sweet, kind, loving woman. I just can't believe this has happened."

"What they really did to me is just rip my heart, and I'm a believer in Jesus Chris, but am I angry? I'm very angry. Am I frustrated? Very frustrated because this is nonsense and it needs to stop," said Tyrone Walker.

Family members said Walker moved to South Florida to go to school, and Anderson, a retired minister, held Bible studies at her home on Tuesdays. Tyrone Walker, Jr. had just moved to go to college and was studying to become an engineer.

"He was loved, so loved," Carolyn Walker said. "Every single day, he always said, 'Momma, I love you.'"

Anyone with information on the murders is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
