Taco Bell to test out breakfast waffle tacos

New items will be available in only certain locations

NEW YORK – Taco Bell has always been a staple of the late night crowd looking for some after-hours nosh, now it's trying to be your first stop in the morning.

In an attempt to make some headway in the morning hours, the popular fast food franchise will soon introduce a breakfast menu that will include a waffle taco.

The new waffle taco is filled with scrambled eggs and sausage and comes with a side of syrup.

Taco Bell, which offers breakfast in a limited number of locations in Western states, plans to test the new waffle taco in Fresno, Calif., Omaha, Neb., and Chattanooga, Tenn., before deciding whether it should be offered nationwide.

The new taco has 460 calories and 30 grams of fat.
