Bales of drugs washed onto South Florida beaches

Drugs are worth $800,000 on the streets

JUPITER, Fla. – Detectives are investigating after several bales of drugs washed up on beaches in South Florida.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office posted several pictures on its Facebook page on Thursday.

The pictures showed the drugs surrounded by several armed deputies.

The drugs washed up between Jupiter Island and the St. Lucie Inlet, and are worth a reported $800,000 on the streets.

The department also reported that one refugee from the Bahamas was placed into custody.
