Orlando man arrested after calling 911 four times, threatening to "chop up" his girlfriend

60-year-old Butler Armstrong was charged with misusing the 911 system

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 60-year-old Orlando man was arrested on allegations of misusing the 911 system, after he called four times in a two-hour period and threatened to find his girlfriend and "chop her up."

Butler Armstrong was arrested Friday and booked into the Orange County Jail.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Armstrong called 911 late Thursday to report a domestic battery and theft, claiming his girlfriend stole items from his home.

A deputy said Armstrong began to drink a can of beer after an investigation of the alleged incident, but Armstrong called 911 a couple hours later to report other missing items.

Deputies say he also stated that he wanted to find his girlfriend and "chop her up" using a machete.

It was determined that Armstrong was intoxicated, as he made two more calls to 911 demanding that a deputy come to his house.  The Sheriff's Office said that Armstrong again stated that if a deputy does not come to his home he will handle the situation himself with a machete.

A deputy then went to Armstrong's home and arrested him.
