2 charged in guayabera clothing store burglary

Dennys Montero-Lemus, Jacqueline Triana charged with burglary at Coral Gables store

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Coral Gables police arrested two people who investigators say were caught on camera when they burglarized a guayabera clothing store.

Police charged 44-year-old Dennys Montero-Lemus and 52-year-old Jacqueline Triana with burglary of an unoccupied structure, grand theft, and criminal mischief in the Sept. 13 incident.

According to police, the pair shattered the front door of Guayaberas Etc., then stole $9,000 worth of cash and shirts.

"Because of a Channel 10 viewer that called in a Crimestoppers tip that led us to a lead, our detectives were able to make two arrests," said Coral Gables police spokesman Kelly Denham. "We're very pleased. This is what Crimestoppers is about. We have a case, the media airs whatever footage we can get to them, and then a viewer does their part by calling in so it really does work."
