Driver walked away uninjured

WESTON, Fla. – A tractor trailer flipped over in Weston Friday morning after its driver fell asleep at the wheel, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The man, however, walked away without injuries.

He told BSO he fell asleep and lost of control of the 18-wheeler, which was hauling cooking oil.

It happened on the southbound lanes of US 27, south of I-75 and Everglades National Park.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Your morning commute

Crews used pulleys, cables and tow trucks to get the tractor trailer right side up.

Part of the roadway was shut down while crews cleared the scene, but it has since reopened.
