MIAMI – A body pulled from Biscayne Bay on Saturday is believed to be that of Gerardo Nales, who fell from an airplane southeast of Miami on Thursday.
Miami-Dade police found the body about eight miles south of Matheson Hammock Marina. It washed up in the mangroves near Southwest 181st Street.
The pilot of the plane, Felipe Fons, radioed that Nales fell from his plane at an altitude of 2,000 feet.
The medical examiner must still identify the body.
