FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police have arrested a man in connection to two separate burglaries in Fort Lauderdale.

According to police, Quavon Antonio Woodcock, 19, broke into a home located on 2270 northwest 26th street on Sunday.

Authorities said Woodcock was chased out of the house when the victim arrived home.

When police got the scene, Woodcock was trying to run away. Authorities said Woodcock threw a duffle bag to the floor while running. Inside the bag, police found the victim's belongings. Investigators said Woodcock could have gotten away with $3,500 worth of jewelry, electronics and other items.

Police said Woodcock was also involved in another burglary dating back to October 21. Authorities responded to a call for a residence located on 2601 northwest 22nd Street, also in Fort Lauderdale.

That victim's surveillance cameras allegedly captured Woodcock walking down the streets, entering the home through a fence in the backyard, breaking a rear window and stepping into the home.

Police said Woodcock armed himself with four guns from the home he was burglarizing. According to investigators, Woodcock took off with jewelry, electronics and $50,000 in cash from a safe.
