Man arrested, accused of stealing charitable donations from church
Tipster helped Boca Raton police find suspect
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Boca Raton Police Department says they have arrested a man who admitted to taking money from the St. Joan of Arc Church.
Church employees noticed several hundred dollars missing from their charitable donations locker last week.
The crime was caught on the church's surveillance cameras.
Soon after showing the video on Local 10, detectives received a tip from someone who had seen it, and claimed to recognize the man in the video.
Police identified the suspect as Michael Quick, who told detectives he had needed the money for food.
Quick has been charged with grand theft.
