Police: 2 dead, 2 hospitalized in domestic shooting

Suspect arrested, new surveillance video released

MIAMI – Surveillance video released Monday shows the moments following a fatal shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade County. Police say they have also arrested the person responsible.

Two people are dead and two others were hospitalized after shots were fired in what police are calling a domestic shooting.

According to investigators, officers responded to the residence after reports of shots fired.  When they arrived, they found three of the four victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  One of the victims was struck by a vehicle.

Police say it's the same Ford truck that was involved in a domestic attack involved in the domestic dispute.

"I could hear the truck crashing into the house and peeling out," said Kristian Main. "The engine was revving so loud, that really all your could hear was that a diesel engine and turbo speeding up."

Neighbors called 911 to alert police of the situations.

Police said Wong shot three people inside a home on Southwest 160th Street, took off in the truck, hitting his 70-year-old father-in-law, Modesto Figueroa, before crashing through a fence and into the same house.

The preliminary information reveals that Wong arrived at the residence and fatally shot his estranged wife, 42-year-old Mabel Figueroa, and 44-year old Michel Figueroa, his brother-in-law.

A family friend, 42-year-old Ernesto Cardenas was also shot and transported to Kendall Regional Trauma Center.

Police say Ivan Wong and Mabel Figueroa have a 7-year-old child who was not present at the time of the incident.

According to police, after the shooting, Wong, rammed his pickup into a house on Southwest 103rd Place, about a mile north of U.S. 1.

After impact, police say Wong took off. A police helicopter was called out and Wong was caught and arrested.

"The guy was on a rampage," Main said. "I was scared to come out."

Wong was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

The two victims who were hospitalized are in stable condition.
