Witnesses: Man parked by bay when he hit gas accidentally
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A man is OK after witnesses say he accidentally drove his car into the bay off the Julia Tuttle Causeway near Alton Road.
According to witnesses, the man was parked near the bay when he hit the gas by accident, driving the car into the water.
The man was out of the water and safe Friday night, but his red Mercedes convertible didn't fare as well.
No other details were provided.
