Brandon Rodriguez (left) and Jose Enriquez are accused of burglarizing the home where Juan Carlos Hernandez fatally shot his wife and her daughter before killing himself.

HIALEAH, Fla. – Two men were arrested after burglarizing a Hialeah home where a man shot and killed his wife and her daughter before killing himself, police said.

Brandon Rodriguez and Jose Enriquez were arrested Tuesday night on charges of burglary to an unoccupied dwelling, theft and criminal mischief.

Hialeah police spokesman Carl Zogby said neighbors called 911 after seeing two men inside the home at 581 West 40th Place, which was supposed to be vacant.

Police arrived, found the suspects still inside and surrounded the home.

Zogby said Rodriguez and Enriquez hid in the attic before surrendering to officers after about a two-hour standoff.

The house is the same location where detectives said Juan Carlos Hernandez fatally shot his wife of three months, Onelia Canales, and her 16-year-old daughter before killing himself.

Zogby said there was no connection between the burglary and last week's double murder-suicide.
