Gunman sought in shooting at Sweeney's Lounge

Man wounded after argument leads to shooting

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Detectives are trying to identify a man in a shooting at a 23-hour lounge that wounded another man.

The shooting happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sweeney's Lounge in Pembroke Park.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives said surveillance video showed Andy Cruz, 23, and his girlfriend, Jillian Terrero, 19, walk outside after a group of men.

Cruz told detectives one of the men offered to sell him drugs. When he declined, an argument ensued.

That's when the man snatched Terrero's cellphone from her hands and fired two shots at her.

Both bullets missed Terrero, but Cruz was struck in the upper thigh. He was treated and released from a hospital.

The shooter could be seen in the video wearing a red T-shirt with facial hair and long dreadlocks.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call detectives at 954-321-4270.
