DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Deputies are searching for a man who was caught on surveillance video stealing a wallet at a car wash.
The incident happened March 15 at a car wash on Sample Road in Deerfield Beach.

Surveillance video showed the man spotting the wallet under another chair in the waiting room. He then got up and sat next to it before picking it up and walking out.
The video then showed the man returning and leaving the wallet where he found it. But the owner said when she came back for it, she noticed the money was gone.
Deputies said the thief left in a 2002 to 2006 Mercedez Benz C-Class station wagon.
