Miami Beach seeks public input on soccer stadium proposal

Residents can ask about traffic concerns during town hall meeting

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach residents can weigh in on the soccer stadium proposal at PortMiami.

Commissioners will hold a public input town hall meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the possible impact of the $250 million stadium to the city.

Those in opposition and in support of a proposal to build a new stadium will be able to speak.

Soccer legend David Beckham is bringing a Major League Soccer team to the Miami area.

Four sites are under consideration, but Beckham wants to build the stadium at the PortMiami site.

The stadium would be built with private money, but there are concerns about the impact on the MacArthur Causeway and Miami Beach traffic.
