MIRAMAR, Fla. – Police are searching for a would-be thief after home surveillance cameras caught the man attempting to burglarize a home in Miramar.
The incident happened Tuesday morning in the 2300 block of SW 177 Avenue.
Video shows the man wearing a hoodie, and walking to the front door. He hangs around for a bit and then walks away.
Eventually he comes back with a bag and flashlight, and tries to break into the back door. It doesn't work because of a chain.
About 15 minutes later, he's shown texting someone, and then a couple minutes after that he spots the cameras that have been rolling on him the whole time.
The man then smashes the camera.
Police say the crook took off and was picked up in a dark-colored car.
