MIAMI – The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office announced Thursday that it will not file charges against San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and two others after a woman claimed she may have been sexually assaulted in a Brickell hotel room.

Authorities say the woman from Atlanta admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana while visiting Kaepernick, 49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle wide receiver Ricardo Lockette at the Viceroy hotel on April 1.  She says she also took prescription pills before she met up with them.

The woman claimed she blacked out at some point and remembers being handcuffed on the floor and then remembers waking up in the hospital.

All three football players maintained their innocence and claimed the woman was acting erratically for the majority of the night.

Authorities say there was no evidence to indicate the woman was the victim of any crime. A medical evaluation of her body did not reveal any evidence of physical trauma, and a forensic biological analysis of her rape kit swabs revealed no seminal fluid.
