Broken Shaker bartender Louis Salgar found dead at Miami home

Roommate finds body, calls 911

MIAMI – A Miami Beach bartender has been found dead in his home.

Miami police said the body of Louis Salgar was discovered Monday afternoon at his home on Northeast Eighth Court with gunshot wounds.

Police said Salgar's roommate found his body and called 911.

A car found abandoned Tuesday near The Breakers in Palm Beach was being investigated for possible ties to Salgar's death.

Salgar was a bartender at the Broken Shaker in Miami Beach and had previously worked at Gramps in Miami.

"He definitely made it fun to work here," former co-worker Thomas Brown told Local 10 News.

A message on his most recent employer's Facebook page said the Broken Shaker family is saddened by the loss "of one of our brothers."
