Kelsie Karpiak died in Fourth of July boat crash

24-year-old was going to start a new job with a dance company

MIAMI – Kelsie Karpiak loved to dance. Her dreams were cut short on Fourth of July when the boat she was in collided near Dinner Key Marina. She was pronounced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 24.

Karpiak had been working at LA Fitness in Jacksonville since 2012. She was looking forward to start working for a dance company.  On her Pinterest, she had boards for her dream gardens and future home.

When she was a student at Miami Palmetto Senior High, she was a cheerleader. Kapiark also worked with American Dance Alliance, a company that helps host dance competitions and dance camps.

She was a student at Tallahassee Community College and graduated from the University of North Florida.  She is survived by her parents, Rosanna and Craig Karpiak.
