The Orange Bowl had long been affiliated with FedEx, which held the title sponsor to the game from 1989-2010.

Discover has been the title sponsor each of the past four seasons.

This year's game will feature the Atlantic Coast Conference champion or its replacement team against a team from the Big Ten Conference, Southeastern Conference or Notre Dame.

The Orange Bowl is part of the new College Football Playoff rotation. In 2015 and 2018, the Orange Bowl will serve as a semifinal game site.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the release said it was a "multi-year deal."
