TAMPA – It's the story with nine lives.
Well, at least three.
The story of Tampa resident Jasmine Tridevil and her surgically-added third breast almost blew out the Internet on Monday.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, WTSP in Tampa said they have discovered the smoking gun in this chesty conundrum.
WTSP received an incident report from earlier this month after Tridevil claimed to have her baggage stolen at Tampa International Airport. When her bag was eventually recovered, a property receipt was issued that included an item described as a "3 breast prosthesis."
As is the case in matters such as these, it took just minutes for doubters to claim that Tridevil's extra appendage was all a scam.
Commenters on Tridevil's Facebook page immediately went on the attack, going so far as to question the massage's therapist's mental makeup.
Even the popular rumor-squashing website Snopes.com attempted to debunk the bonus boob, although they stopped short of calling it a total fake.
In an exclusive interview with WTSP on Monday, Tridevil said the addition is the real deal.
"I figured people would be skeptical, but it's true." said Tridevil.
Tridevil, 21, even gave the camera a sneak peek at her recent add-on, but said a full look would come in her upcoming television series. It should be noted that as of right now, no over-the-air television network has agreed to air whatever show Tridevil is planning to produce.
In their online article, Snopes.com revealed Tridevil's real name is Alicia Hessler and that she had once been charged with fraudulent use of personal information. All of which Tridevil, or Hessler, admits to on her Facebook page.
"Everyone keeps sending me this snopes (sic) article." said Tridevil in a Facebook post. "Why? yes, they have my real name. Yes, the news story last December is true, and yes, I was arrested for using someone elses i.d. (attempting to get in a club). I was underage and wanted to get drunk lol."
