Man steals kayaks from neighbor, resells them, deputies say
Kayaks valued at $450 each
KEY LARGO, Fla. – A Key Largo man is facing multiple charges after stealing two kayaks from a neighbor and then reselling them, deputies said.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Joshua Davis, 32, stole the kayaks from a home on Banana Avenue sometime between Sept. 18 and Sept. 20.
Deputies said David then sold the kayaks, each valued at $450, to another man for a total of $150.
The person who purchased the kayaks agreed to return them, telling deputies he thought the deal was probably "too good to be true."
Davis is charged with burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
